In 2010 Lieuwe Kingma celebrated 25 years as an artist with a book and an overview
exhibition in Amsterdam (25 Years of Art). In his own unique way, he creates
landscapes, still lifes and nudes that are rich in color. Many of his works were on
view at the exhibition. Click here for a few impressions of this event: photos and video.
Lieuwe’s works have become a part of important national and international
collections. Because of this artistic recognition, given by professional art buyers, you
can find his paintings in public buildings and on the walls of boardrooms. His work is
also admired by private collectors. This is when it is about more than just artistic
recognition; a private purchase signifies a personal relationship with a painting. It is
often the beginning of a lifelong romance.
